So what's it all about? The idea of self-development and improvement is certainly not a new one, but as a profession, coaching really came to prominence in the 1980s. Since then the industry has grown at a rapid rate across the world, as we turn to each other for empowerment. So often people focus on the physical. Many exercise on a regular basis, for example. What drives us to undertake such physical activity, or indeed any activity? The answer is obviously our brains, our minds. What a powerful tool you and I have at our disposal. Yet, we regularly fail do the work required to keep our minds in peak condition. Coaching is a way of delving below the surface chatter that occupies our minds, to explore our dreams and create a new reality.
